Combining theoretical and practical work, students learn to use and maintain modern equipment and perform applied research in biomedical engineering. There is an intensive collaboration between teaching staff of the department of Biomedical Engineering and doctors, biologists, chemists and engineers working in medical facilities and companies, which allow our students to conduct research, improve the existing and develop novel devices, materials and diagnostic methods through their Master’s thesis. Competences of graduates in biomedical engineering include the invention of new methods, device improvement, equipment maintaining and applying information technologies in clinics.
